It’s in year 2010 when we went to Ilocos for a getaway with my boyfriend and friends.

The trip was cool! we had our long joy ride passing through Baguio City via Naguilian road going to Ilocos. (because our friends are coming from Baguio)

We went to the Heritage Village, Vigan, Ilocos Sur. The street that they call Calye Crisologo was really amazing. The houses are preserved from the Hispanic time.

We also passed through the famous Patapat Viaduct. It is around 1.3 kms, connecting the Maharlika Highway from Laoag, Ilocos Norte to Cagayan Valley. It is said to be a project of President Marcos to help motorists to safely travel to Northern part of the Philippines.

For our accommodation, we drove around Pagudpud to find a nice spot. It is really not convenient to go around because it is consuming our time allotment for swimming and bonding, so I suggest, if you have limited time to take a short vacation, just like ours, go to trusted travel coordinators like Enjoy Ka Dito Travels, they will take care of your tour and accommodation. You see, they know 12-15 tourists spots that you can visit at Ilocos. You will no longer spend hours of looking for the way and the next stop to visit 🙂

We passed by the Paraiso ni Anton, known for its miraculous water coming on top of the mountain. We have witnessed how devotees drove on their way here just to get a a drink from the mini-waterfalls and some even fill-in an empty bottle with its water and bring them home.

It was a memorable trip because it was our first and last trip together. Most of them are living from other continent already. Seriously, our couple friends (Kicy and Ghing) are in Spain, John Carlo is in Canada and Bhing is in Australia now. Of course me and Yam will still be here and will never live this country (wink! 😉 )
