There are a lot of nice beaches that Philippines has to give. Bocaray may have been temporarily closed, but Calaguas Island is one that we should be proud to offer.
Calaguas’ aquamarine waters are indisputably crystal clear so it’s definite that you’ll have a good time swimming, snorkeling, and shooting your underwater videos. The long stretch of its powdery white sand (Mahabang Buhangin) is a perfect background for your selfies.
Just like a precious stone—not easy to get, Calaguas is not that easy to reach. You’ll need a 2-hours boat ride while expecting to get wet from the rampaging waves of the Pacific Ocean. But the place is worth it.
Calaguas island is best for reflecting and reconnecting to yourself if you prefer a beach with moments when the shore can go so quiet and the wind so still.
You don’t have to worry about what to eat or take effort in cooking your own food. In the place where we stayed, they offer complete meals to help you relax more.
At night time, there’s this camp site where we had our accommodation who offers 4-hours cocktail drinks. They said no one has ever won their cocktail bar and stood up strong after.
Fire dancers are open too along the shore to entertain you in the night. 🙂
If you’re tired of swimming, you can also trek a few hours to see the rolling hills in Calaguas. The walk is quite slippery but the view at the top is worth it.
May you receive your blessings,
Tintin
