𝐌𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐬! Yes, he has been afraid of frogs since his college years.
I interrogated him. (𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱 𝘞𝘉𝘐, 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭-𝘞𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴’ 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘶 𝘰𝘧 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘩𝘢) .
Kidding aside, I found out that my husband’s fear of frogs started during their class laboratory experiments when he was in college. (yes, he is a nurse by profession..so with all the dissecting, the cadaver thing, and all in between.. I am just so proud of all nurses) .
Like, who would not be? I don’t like frogs too. Just seeing them discourages me to go near.
But if in cases it will be inevitable, I can pass over one frog. Not an army of them!
But my husband, he cannot. Especially if that little amphibian hides and he knows it is there.
Just by imagining it gives him a fear intensity rate of 10.
It really frightens him. Like he is a joker but if you joke around with a frog, he will go nuts with you.
Then I started convincing him that we process his phobia. Ahemm.
(𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 “𝘸𝘪𝘧𝘦” 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺. 𝘏𝘢𝘩𝘢!).At first of course, my husband is hesitant.
and skeptical, but after what we did, he can even imagine holding the frog with his bare hands..eeww.
The next day, he saw an actual frog while pulling some stray grasses in our yard. (𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯’𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 )
And guess what?.He did not freak out!
Like, he even wants to touch it, oh my!
But the test is not yet over, the frog did not hide.
Instead, it totally presents itself to my husband.
So, I might need to update you once he sees a frog hiding.
